Casa Systems Wins More Business in Latin America With TVCable Ecuador Deal

ANDOVER, MA–(Marketwired – Sep 2, 2014) – Casa Systems, a worldwide leader in next-generation cable edge technology, announced today that TVCable Ecuador had selected its platform for a second phase six-city expansion project. TVCable had previously selected Casa for its initial phase of expansion in 8 cities which was implemented with great success. Cable Network Associates, located in Miami Florida, assisted Casa in securing the business. Casa’s platform was chosen over competing platforms after rigorous testing in lab and field trials.
“Our existing platform had reached its capacity limits and our customers were looking for higher tier bandwidth services,” said Jorge Schwartz, CEO of TVCable. Derek Caney, TVCable’s VP of Technology, added, “After a very thorough vendor evaluation we chose Casa because of its proven scalability, reliability, and its ability to seamlessly migrate to CCAP. This protects our investment in DOCSIS and allows our network to be ready for any future services that our customers may demand.”
“We are very pleased that TVCable has chosen us to be their partner moving forward as they continue to meet the demands of their customer base,” said Jerry Guo, founder and CEO of Casa Systems. “TVCable continues to be innovators in Latin America and we are looking forward to working with them to ensure a successful deployment and rollout.”
Casa Systems’ innovative approach enables cable operators to cost effectively and seamlessly deliver ICCAP functionality, offering highly scalable broadband services such as IPTV, MPEG video, interactive gaming, as well as traditional broadband access and VoIP services. As the industry’s only vendor with full DOCSIS 3.0 and PacketCable 1.5 qualification, Casa Systems products deliver reliability, scalability, performance, and operational simplicity.
